Hormone Balancing
 New Bern

Naturopathic Hormone Balancing New Bern

The Endocrine system plays a vital role in our body's ability to function as it is intended. Our Endocrine glands release hormones that act as chemical signals and affect our organs, cells, bodily tissues and systems as a whole. Based on the hormone secreted and the amount released our bodies receive these chemical signals that tell our systems how to act or react. Hormones released by our endocrine system control and influence a vast range of physiological activities in our bodies like the level of alertness, sugar regulation, development, appetite, and bone growth to name a few. When our endocrine systems are not functioning properly, it can cause many health concerns. Hormone imbalances have been connected to many different conditions and diseases such as thyroid conditions, diabetes, some neurological problems, and even cancers.
All living things, including animals, have more than one cell, have an endocrine system for hormone regulation. We see problems develop when the glands are not functioning correctly, as well as when the hormones are unable to travel and be delivered to the appropriate places at adequate levels. A wide array of factors can hinder our endocrine systems including environmental toxins that mimic hormones and low functioning hormone production due to an underlying health concern.

As a Naturopathic doctor, Natural Healing Solutions strives to provide patients with relief while avoiding unnecessary side effects of treatment where ever possible. Dr. Yap Belcher works with patients to identify an underlying cause for their symptoms by evaluating the patient as a whole.

By taking in to account mental, emotional, social, physical, genetic and environmental influences and factors she is better able to understand the full picture of her patient's health. This is particularly important when evaluating any condition or disease that may be aggravated or affected by the endocrine system, due to the significant role it plays in our body's functioning.
The most common leading factor to endocrine disorders and disease is lifestyle choices. This may include diet, exercise, sleep and adequate nutrient absorption. Although there usually is more that one combining factor that leads to these conditions. Additional factors may include environmental exposures, stress, cancers and autoimmune reactions. Hormone imbalances are especially sensitive to toxic substance exposure, radiation and stress.
